ADIDAS SUPERSTAR 82 EVENT AT CASCADE ATLANTA 

Celebrating Culture, Community, and Motion at Cascade

On April 27, 2025, we laced up with adidas Rollerskate in Atlanta, Georgia to bring A Journey Through Skate, a high-energy celebration of the rhythm, resilience, and cultural heartbeat of the roller skating community and the spirit who brought it to life. 

Taking off at the iconic backdrop of Cascade, one of the most successful black owned rinks in the country, the event paid homage to the legacy of skate as both art and activism, and honored the generations who turned the rink into a sanctuary of self-expression and community where music and inspiration roll deep through the roots of Atlanta’s history.

Introducing the adidas Superstar 82 Skate – Limited Edition Drop

A Journey Through Skate marked the celebration of the adidas Superstar 82 Skate, an exclusive collaboration that reimagines the iconic Superstar silhouette with premium leather, glow-in-the-dark green stripes, the classic shell toe, a front brake, and custom adidas wheels. In addition to celebrating this special markup, two standout colorways, “Black/White” and “Silver,” of the adidas Superstar 82 skate were available for purchase through an exclusive, first-come, first-served storefront experience. 

Skate, Music, and Art Collide in an Unforgettable Night

The city showed up and showed out for an evening of dance, joy, connection, and creativity, bringing together people of all ages to celebrate the culture. Local legends Solomon Snowden, Cleo, and Kawan Prather kept the energy alive with nonstop DJ sets that had the crowd rolling, bouncing, and grooving well into the night. Guests enjoyed food and drinks, including a custom drink menu for VIPs, along with a photobooth and complimentary live airbrush art from local artists, Airbrush Express. Customized tote bags, adidas superstar shoes, and T-shirts were transformed into one-of-a-kind keepsakes, turning memories into art. 

 

A Journey Through Skate wasn’t just a night at the rink—it was a powerful tribute to the past, present, and future of skate culture. From the debut of the adidas Superstar 82 Skate to the unforgettable energy on the floor at Cascade, the event reminded us that skating is more than movement—it's music, memory, and identity in motion. As the wheels slowed and the lights dimmed, what remained was a lasting imprint of community, creativity, and the unshakable spirit of Atlanta.
