The 2nd Chapter of the Jordan and Fragment Collaboration

Nike joins forces with Hiroshi Fujiwara for the Fragment x Air Jordan 3, a collaboration that first began rumoring during a Nike panel in Hong Kong. Representing the second chapter of his work with the Jordan Brand, the latest Fragment x Air Jordan 3 was previewed by the designer himself on social media revealing a white-based upper with a black mudguard and co-branding stamped on the heel.

Self described “cultural DJ” Hiroshi Fujiwara has been credited with a lot, including the pivotal role he played in starting and defining streetwear fashion as it’s known today.

Along with two other footwear pieces and an apparel collection, this AJ3 applies Fujiwara’s attention to detail to one of the most beloved Jordan silhouettes. 

Featuring the black and white “orca” color scheme that plays on his earlier Nike work, the AJ3 displays smaller details such as a fully spelled-out SKU on the midsole that draws a connection between the art and business of streetwear. A stamped Fragment logo also  appears above the midsole and again underneath a translucent Jordan logo on the heel to make a tasteful but subtle imprint.
