We are proud to announce that this spring we will be partnering with The Door Campaign to present a discount program for inner-city Pittsburgh students currently excelling in the sciences. Details regarding the background of The Door Campaign and their initiative can be found below.
The Door Campaign was founded in 2013 as a 501(c)3 organization. The initial mission, not unlike today, was to show inner-city youth that they can be the change they want to see in the world. The organization’s name was intended to reflect this goal of opening doorways to fields that youth may not otherwise encounter, creating avenues of education and employment.
The discount program will be designed to reward outstanding students for their work. The discount will be $100 select footwear product in-store. Each month, a number of winners will be chosen and given numbered tickets to be redeemed at either Pittsburgh Social Status location.
Everyone loves new sneakers, however the true reward here is excelling and engaging in a field that can open opportunities that last a lifetime.
