Wings Design Program

The Jordan WINGS Design Program believes everyone can fly through creating equal access opportunities for youth to ignite their creativity through educational programming and initiatives.

In partnership with the Carolina Youth Coalition, a non-profit organization that nurtures high-achieving, under-resourced students to and through college, and Rise 2 Impact, a non-profit organization providing academic counseling and community outreach to inspire young boys of color to dream the impossible, the Jordan WINGS Design Program nestled at beSocial Charlotte where creativity filled the space and inspired the room as students worked to create unique designs for the 2023 Jumpman Invitational hosted by Queen City December 19-20, 2023.

Over the course of 8 weeks, students participated in a design program where they were placed in 4 teams and each group created a unique design for use at the 2023 Jumpman Invitational. Students participated in creating one design for three different themes:

City Pride: Create an iconic design that represents the city of Charlotte.

Quote: Research a quote by Michael Jordan to create an inspiring design.

Jordan: Create an unforgettable design that represents the Jordan Brand.

Students received invaluable insights from community leaders, brand designers, and mentors who were present through each stage of production.

The Jumpman Invitational Hub at beSocial will be holding one-of-a-kind product customization workshops with designs from the WINGS Design Program December 16-18, alongside hosting Hoop Club, TechArts & Crafts, Women Within sessions, and a Jumpman Invitational Kickoff Social.
